Cleantech Approach (CTA) was founded in March 2009 by David Raezer, Tom Raezer, and Romahlo Wilson to address the challenges of developing, investing, and deploying renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions. The partners had previously collaborated on these issues, were passionate about the need to change the unsustainable way in which energy and resources are used today, and decided to pool their collective experiences in energy, technology, and finance to help stakeholders in their decision making.
What really differentiates CTA? CTA is team of strategy-oriented, top-down focused analysts that have skill sets ideally suited to providing sustainability-focused executives with what they require to make informed, financial sound efficiency decisions.
Since inception, CTA has executed consulting engagements or built relationships with various clean technology stakeholders, including:
- National and local governments;
- Real estate owners, operators, and developers;
- Tenants and other property users;
- Energy service companies (ESCOs);
- Utilities;
- Clean technology investors;
- NGOs; and
- Entrepreneurs.
CTA divides its efforts between discrete advisory and research engagements that are executed for our clients and broader industry white papers that are periodically published and made widely available for the market advancement of renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions. These efforts are conducted in alignment with the company’s mission of enabling clean technology stakeholders to make informed, financially sound decisions as CTA believes that better understanding of the economics underlying these technologies will lead to wider adoption and proliferation.
CTA has published two industry white papers, Lighting Controls: Savings, Solutions, Payback and Vendor Profiles and LED Lighting: Benchmarking Report, and is currently working on two others: Total Building Energy Management Systems and Distributed Generation in the Urban Environment.
